According to Korean media, Hanni was absent from an important meeting between NewJeans members and representatives of ADOR (under HYBE Group) because they were abroad, in the context that this girl group was still resolving a contract dispute.
The meeting took place on November 11, with the participation of 4 members Minji, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein and their guardian, to discuss terms related to returning to ADOR company.
Hanni could not attend because she was abroad at the time. She was the one mentioned as in the South in the statement of the legal representative of the three members Minji, Hanni, Danielle in the media.
ADOR said it will hold a private meeting with Hanni when she returns to Korea.
Previously, on November 12, ADOR announced that Haerin and Hyein had expressed their intention to return after meeting with the company representative and carefully considering with their family. The two idols respect the court's ruling, as well as comply with the contract terms ( extended to 2029).
Minji, Hanni and Danielle also announced their intention to return through legal representation. However, ADOR said they are still confirming the sincerity in the intention of these 3 members to return.

The online community has speculated that the absentee at the ADOR meeting was Danielle, because of the news that Danielle was participating in a marathon in the South pole. But then the media announced that the real absentee was Hanni.
Hanni is currently the member who received the most negative reactions to the news that NewJeans wanted to return to ADOR.
In a lawsuit related to her contract with ADOR, Hanni accused an ILLIT manager of ignoring her.
According to Hanni, the female manager asked the ILLIT members to ignore Hanni when she and the group met in the elevator of HYBE Group headquarters. Hanni was upset because the incident was not properly resolved by ADOR and HYBE.
However, the court stated, There is not enough evidence to admit that ILLITs manager told Hanni in front of him, Just ignore it.
The court analyzed that Hanni herself told former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin that she could not remember the exact words of the ILLIT group manager. But it was Min Hee Jin who emphasized by asking Hanni again, "They say 'way'?".
The court concluded: Immediately after receiving the complaint, HYBE requested an inspection of all CCTV videos. The security and business policy department has collected related footage and continued to search for more as requested by ADOR.
However, CCTV did not record the sound, so even though there was a scene at the scene, the statement of ILLIT's manager could not be verified via video.
These considerations show that ADOR has taken all necessary measures to verify Hanni's case."
The online community demanded that Hanni apologize to ILLIT for her accusations of affecting the junior group.
