According to Allkpop, a fan recently attracted attention when posting a video of male singer G-Dragon (Big Bang) performing the song "Butterfly" (released in 2009) at a concert held in Hong Kong (China).
In the video, G-Dragon smiled and looked around the venue packed with people. However, the disorderly actions of an audience member (called A) angered netizens.
When seeing G-Dragon approach his area, A suddenly pulled out an LED sign with the words: "Bring back Seungri", even deliberately waving so hard that the leader of Big Bang could see it.
However, when he saw the sign, G-Dragon quickly avoided looking elsewhere, then left the position on that side of the stage.
Local audiences criticized A's actions as "ashamed", not only violating the concert's rules, but also making both G-Dragon and the fans around uncomfortable.
But A did not regret it, frankly declaring on social media: "That plaque is mine. When the lights go out, I raise it up for a long time so G-Dragon can see it."
Big Bang initially debuted with 5 members. But in 2019, Seungri announced his departure from the group and retirement after being accused of being the central figure in the "burning Sun shopping mall" case, which shocked the Korean entertainment industry.
Seungri was prosecuted for 9 crimes such as prostitution brokerage, illegal filming, gambling, embezzlement, inciting special violence... and received a sentence of 1 year and 6 months in prison (2022). He was released in February 2023 after serving his full sentence at Yeoju Prison.
After T.O.P left Big Bang in 2023, the group continued to work with 3 members G-Dragon, Daesung, Taeyang, but has not released a new music product since the song "Still Life".
At the end of 2024 - early 2025, G-Dragon will return with his solo album "Übermensch" and is on his 3rd solo tour of his career, visiting many cities including Tokyo, Osaka, Bocaue, Sydney, Melbourne, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta... Most recently, 3 shows in Hong Kong (China) from August 8-10.
