The cast of the movie “The Four Guardians” has been revealed one by one. Following the roles of Chet-Xi-Ca (Le Duong Bao Lam), Miss Kieu (Uyen An), Aunt Bon (Le Giang), the film crew revealed that the fourth “guardian” is none other than the director of the film - Uncle Muoi Mot (Tran Thanh).
The image of Mr. Muoi Mot shows a spirit of “village newspaper” with a scene in the kitchen in extreme chaos. Unlike the gambling debt-ridden father in the movie “Mai”, Tran Thanh sheds his dejected appearance and instead smiles brightly.
Talking about his role as well as the film, Tran Thanh shared: “Like other projects, I take on two roles: both director and actor in the film. Regarding the film, I once heard an audience share that a family with members living in different countries all tried to gather on the first day of Tet to watch Tran Thanh's film, I was very honored.
So if it is a comedy, the whole family can enjoy it together. Therefore, as an actor, I considered and chose a fun, light-hearted role so as not to affect my directing work.
The character of Uncle Muoi Mot is a very lovable role, a person full of love for his family but there will be awkward situations that make this uncle become a killer. Even though he returns to his forte comedy genre, I think this will be a very different Tran Thanh...”.
Although the four vigilantes have been fully revealed, there are still many mysteries left unsolved because the four are very out of sync with each other. It is still unclear how Chet-Xi-Ca, Miss Kieu, Aunt Four “flashy” and Uncle Muoi Mot “smiling” could have gotten to know each other to form a quartet that reports wherever they go.
The film is expected to be released on Tet 2025.
