On the evening of April 27, the music night "Memory of Truong Son" took place at the Hanoi Opera House, on the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. The program was implemented by the Vietnam Contemporary Art Theater with the desire to bring the audience back to the time, to relive the heroic moment of the nation.
The war has passed away, but the memories of war are still intact in the memories of grandparents, parents, of war invalids or in the daily stories of soldiers who have gone through war...
Those sacred emotions were fully conveyed with the participation of performers who had experienced fierce battlefields such as People's Artist Thanh Hoa, People's Artist Thu Hien, People's Artist Quang Tho, People's Artist Trung Duc, People's Artist Quoc Hung...
The songs that have accompanied the years such as "Cau ho ben Ben Hien Luong", " Xa Khoi", "Ba ca khong quen", "Truong Son Dong, Truong Son Tay"... were performed by hair artists with two colors, young singers and famous dance troupes and bands.
People's Artist Trung Duc, over 70 years old, still surprises the audience with his powerful, emotional voice.
He performed songs that have made his name such as "Cao em co gai Lam Hong", singing "Truong Son Dong, Truong Son Tay" with People's Artist Thu Hien.
People's Artist Trung Duc admitted that the songs written about Truong Son have a connection and play an important role in his singing career. "My life is also a driver. I sang for many soldiers under the battle lines, on the ground.
And this time, on the stage of the Opera House, I was lucky to sing a duet with my co-star - People's Artist Thu Hien in the song Truong Son Dong, Truong Son Tay", People's Artist Trung Duc said.
The performances in the art program honor the great achievements in the cause of national liberation and national defense led by the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh; are a heroic and brilliant history on the path of building and defending the country.
The songs "Marching to Saigon", "Spring in Ho Chi Minh City", "Fatherlandese melody", "Hello you release the army, welcome the great victory of spring"... recreate the excited and excited atmosphere on the anniversary.
Representing the generation of artists who live in peace, People's Artist Quoc Hung was moved to perform at the "Truong Son Memories" music night.
The artist confided: "My father - a soldier of Uncle Ho's army, one of the soldiers participating in the resistance war against the US to save the country, fought for more than 10 years on the Khe Sanh front, Quang Tri. My father was luckier than many of his teammates because he was able to return even though his body was not healthy. But a while later, the greatest war invalid in my heart said goodbye to his family and returned to reunite with his beloved comrades when I was only 13 years old.
Therefore, to sing and praise the heroes and martyrs who fought to protect the homeland on the occasion of April 30 is to sing in my own emotions, for my father, for his comrades".
Young artists such as Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan, People's Artist Hong Hanh, Thai Thuy Linh, Viet Danh... all shared a proud and emotional feeling when singing melodies about the Fatherland and the glorious history of the nation.

Meritorious Artist Quynh Trang - Director of the Vietnam Imperial Arts Theater (under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) - shared that the music night "Memories of Truong Son" was elaborately staged: "For many people, war only exists through stories told. We hope to recreate songs and dances performed by veteran artists, so that the audience can visualize Truong Son and show gratitude to generations who sacrificed for national independence.
