On the evening of April 27, the music night "Truong Son Memories" took place at the Hanoi Opera House, organized by the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater.
The program is part of the activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Before the music night, the audience filled the large theater's audience. Many viewers who are veterans and their families came to watch, including many young people who also attended the program,
Sharing with Lao Dong, Mr. Tran Dang Quyet - a veteran - was moved when he heard the voices of People's Artist Thu Hien and People's Artist Quang Tho after all these years. He enlisted in 1974, worked at the Military Medical Academy, and retired after 47 years of military service.
"I was moved when I heard songs that have gone through the years, associated with the days when the country was submerged in bullets. The year of military service, I was only 17 years old, time has passed, the country has been at peace for 50 years", Mr. Tran Dang Quyet shared.
Mr. Tran Dang Quyet also accompanied his daughter Tran Dieu Linh (born in 1998). Dieu Linh wore a military uniform to watch the music night and shared that she also worked at the Military Medical Academy, continuing her father's career. Inspired by her father, Dieu Linh also loves the singing voice of People's Artist Quang Tho and Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan.

The program "Memories of Truong Son" was scripted and directed by People's Artist Tran Binh, art direction by Meritorious Artist Quynh Trang.
Many veteran artists and associated with songs about the revolution gathered in the night of the music night, including People's Artist Thanh Hoa, People's Artist Thu Hien, People's Artist Quang Tho, People's Artist Trung Duc, People's Artist Quoc Hung, People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao, People's Artist Hong Hanh, People's Artist Viet Hoan ... will contribute in the program.
The audience experienced many deep, surging emotions, and was overwhelmed when listening to immortal songs such as "Cau ho ben Ben Hien Luong" (NSND Thu Hien), "Tinh ca" (NSND Quang Tho), "Tinh em" (NSND Hong Hanh, Viet Danh), "Dem Truong Son nho bac" (NSUT Viet Hoan), "Co gai ban cong", "Xuan important khu"...
People's Artist Thu Hien opened the program with the song "Cau ho ben Ben Hien Luong". She is considered a monument of Vietnamese music, especially in revolutionary music, lyrical music, and folk music.
People's Artist Thu Hien's singing voice is both high, powerful and emotional, and soft enough to spread love and be an extremely strong source of spiritual motivation for soldiers, even at the life-and-death moment of human life.
People's Artist Thu Hien recalled: "Thu Hien used to sing in caves for her teammates, there were no medicine but only by singing. Just anh, open your eyes and watch me sing, just sing like that, from song to song.
She followed soldiers to all battlefields, all important historical milestones marked her spiritual dedication to the army and people on the battlefield.

People's Artist Quang Tho reviewed the journey from a miner to the title of People's Artist. He has had a music career spanning 55 years, known and respected by many generations.
In "Mem Truong Son", People's Artist Quang Tho performed immortal songs such as "Tinh ca", "Cao em co gai Lam Hong", "Truong Son Dong, Truong Son Tay"...
People's Artist Tran Binh - the program's director - emotionally said that many artists are now over 70 or even nearly 80 years old, but are still excited and eager to stand on stage. They want to sing a lot, for a long time, to tell the story of the past, to relive the memories of half a century ago.
"The program is divided into 3 parts. Chapter 1 is about division, chapter 2 tells about soldiers who cut along Truong Son to save the country for the meat- weaning South, and chapter 3 shows gratitude for the contributions of the martyrs", People's Artist Tran Binh said.
