According to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, currently, in Ky Thinh ward, there are 2 iron bridges about 2km apart on the flood drainage channel in Bac Phong residential group and Nam Phong residential group that are damaged, rusty, tilted, and are about to collapse.
Each bridge is about 100m long and about 5m wide. Currently, the bridge surface is no longer there, only the iron girder frame remains.
According to local people, these two bridges are broken and people have not been able to travel for about 10 years. Recently, because there is a solid bridge located between the two bridges, people have traveled on that concrete bridge.
Although there are new bridges to replace them, people think that when they are no longer in use, it is necessary to remove those 2 damaged bridges to avoid letting the flood season hinder the flow year after year. Normally, there is a potential safety risk when some children go out to play or play around.
According to the leader of Ky Thinh ward, these two iron bridges were built on the flood drainage canal since 2010. By around 2015, it was no longer in use, the bridge was abandoned and damaged.
Recently, at meetings with voters, the locality has also repeatedly made recommendations and proposed that Ky Anh town dismantle it, but it has not yet been implemented.
