Gratitude for Birth" is a Vu Lan season art program, taking family affection and gratitude as emotional threads.
Many years accompanying the program, MC Nguyen Khang sees this as an opportunity to return to stories about filial piety and remind himself to cherish his loved ones.
For me, this is a very meaningful program. I always put filial piety first, because only a person who is filial to their parents can live well with society and those around them," Nguyen Khang shared.
This year, the story is expanded from family affection to gratitude to those who have contributed to maintaining a peaceful life. Nguyen Khang believes that behind the happiness of each family is the sacrifice of many generations.
“Filial Piety in this year's program is not just filial piety to grandparents, parents, and loved ones who have cared for and loved us. So that each family can have peace and happiness today, many generations of fathers and brothers have fallen. We must not forget that,” he said.

There are stories that have made me shed tears many times. Those who have left have already lost, but the loss is still imprinted in those who remain. They quietly burn incense, still waiting for news about their loved ones, waiting for searches for martyrs' remains. Those stories make me very touched," MC Nguyen Khang said.
After many years of attachment, Nguyen Khang said that what makes the program "Gratitude for Birth" able to maintain its appeal is not in its flashiness.
The male MC commented: "A program that wants to go long must have value, must create humanistic messages and have many layers of meaning. The biggest success of'Gratitude for Birth' is creating connection with the audience over many years".
From the story of the program that took place right on Vu Lan festival, Nguyen Khang also remembered his mother and the lessons he learned throughout his growing up process. That is humility, effort, not being arrogant and knowing how to listen to others.
The words my mother taught still follow me in the working process. Those virtues are very important, helping me receive love from everyone. Therefore, every Vu Lan season, I always pray for my parents to be healthy so that they can receive the affection that their children have for me," he said.
The older he gets, the more Nguyen Khang understands that love for parents needs to be expressed when they are still by his side. For him, filial piety can start from very small things: caring for his health, spending time and taking care of his parents within his ability.
For those who still have parents by their side, I hope everyone will truly cherish and take care of their parents every day. Take care of your parents from the smallest things, when you are capable, take care of that. Love your parents as soon as you can" - Nguyen Khang advised.
