On the social networking platform Threads, a user shared a post saying that he had seen two Korean women in London (UK), one of whom is believed to be like female idol Minji of NewJeans.
This user wrote: "This morning, I saw two Korean women. One person was wearing a black woolen hat and a black leather jacket, and the features on her face were very similar to Minji. Her eyes and mouth were quite recognizable, but because she was standing quite far away, I didn't dare to approach to confirm.
The poster captioned: "I have never accidentally met a celebrity before, so if it's really Minji, I'm very lucky. I just remembered another detail. The person next to her is called Kim, like Kim Minji".
The shared photo shows two women using phones, but due to blurred movement, their identities cannot be clearly identified, and there is currently no official confirmation of encountering these two people.
In October 2025, ADOR company (under HYBE Group) won the lawsuit in confirming the validity of exclusive contracts with all 5 NewJeans members.

After the verdict, Haerin and Hyein expressed their intention to return to work with the company, then Hanni was the 3rd member accepted back by ADOR.
While Danielle received a contract termination notice from ADOR and faced a lawsuit demanding 43 billion won in compensation, Minji is still discussing with the company whether to rejoin operations or not.
It has been more than 3 months since NewJeans lost the lawsuit against ADOR, the fact that Minji has not reached an agreement with the company makes many fans worried. There are even rumors that Minji will not return to ADOR, but will join the new company of producer Min Hee Jin.
Min Hee Jin is the former CEO of ADOR - who is often called the "mother of NewJeans". She resigned as internal director at ADOR in November 2024 and left HYBE Corporation.
By October 2025, there was information that Min Hee Jin had established a new company named OOAK, registering business areas including artist management; production, distribution of music and albums; organization, production of events and performances.

Recently, Min Hee Jin won a lawsuit against HYBE in a claim related to share transactions. The court ruled that HYBE must pay about 25.5 billion won for repurchasing shares to Min Hee Jin.
Min Hee Jin winning the lawsuit and expanding a new company further makes many fans expect Minji to join the old producer. Therefore, the move related to Minji is being concerned and continuously updated by the fan community.
News of Minji being caught in England led to speculation that the female idol may be implementing a new personal schedule that is not related to ADOR.
