According to this unit, since NewJeans' debut, the company has continuously monitored domestic and foreign social networking platforms, as well as large online communities where many negative content about the group appeared.
ADOR said that recently, there has been an increasing trend of fake news, distorted information, insulting private lives and toxic comments targeting NewJeans members. The company has requested to quickly remove the violating content and is promoting necessary legal procedures. ADOR representative emphasized: "We will respond strongly to all violations, including on international platforms, without exception".
In addition, ADOR mentioned a series of deepfake-related incidents, saying it had received a number of mediation requests from violators but the company firmly refused. The unit affirmed that it is coordinating with the investigation agency to strictly handle, in order to prevent serious violations of the artist's image rights.
In the announcement, ADOR thanked fans for their love and support for NewJeans, and affirmed that it will "continue to make every effort to protect the rights of artists".
The legal move comes as five NewJeans members have failed to appeal the first-instance ruling regarding the validity of their exclusive contracts. Accordingly, the ruling dated November 14 kept the contract value between the group and ADOR unchanged, concluding a long dispute period.
Regarding the performance, Hyein and Haerin officially announced their return to ADOR on November 12. Minji, Danielle and Hanni also expressed their desire to return, although their work schedules need more time to be arranged. ADOR said it is holding separate meetings to complete the working process with each member.
With these strong statements, ADOR affirmed its determination to protect a healthy working environment for NewJeans, while emphasizing strict handling of acts that harm the group's reputation and rights.
