According to the announcement from the producer, "Red Rain" officially stopped airing on September 29.
Before leaving theaters, the film still managed to create a spectacular breakthrough.
On September 28 alone, revenue exceeded the 4 billion VND mark (according to Box Office Vietnam, data up to 3:00 p.m. the same day), many times higher than the level of more than 1 billion VND in previous days.
The total revenue of the film reached 712 billion VND - an unprecedented record in the history of Vietnamese cinema.

According to statistics, Red Rain is the second highest-grossing film of the day at the Vietnamese box office, after The War in the Air. What is special is that even after being shown for more than a month, the number of audiences per day is still maintained at a high level.

After more than 1 month of release, "Red Rain" recorded more than 8.1 million viewers. This special number has many symbolic meanings, as the film is inspired by the 81 days and nights of fighting for the heroic protection of Quang Tri ancient citadel in 1972,
Director Dang Thai Huyen shared: "When it was raining red during the final days of the show, I stood in a corner watching everyone lining up to watch the film, choosing the back seat in the theater to see the whole scene of this absolutely "Red Rain". About 8,100,000 audiences have come to the theater - according to the distributor's announcement tonight. For me and my crew, this journey is beautiful."
Colonel Kieu Thanh Thuy - Production Director - said that the end of the theater screening was in the overall plan before, although the screening schedule was still arranged a lot at the box office due to the needs of the audience.
"Red Rain" is the first state-produced film to have historical revenue, surpassing all previous high-grossing private films. The film was released nationwide on August 22, produced by the People's Army Cinema.
With the achievement of becoming the film with the highest revenue in Vietnamese box office history, Red Rain shows the success of a work on the topic of war, strongly arousing the spirit of patriotism.
