According to Soompi, at around 4 a.m. on January 19, the MV “APT.” by Rose (Blackpink) and Bruno Mars surpassed 900 million views on YouTube, after 92 days and 15 hours of release, since October 18, 2024.
“APT.” is now the fastest K-pop music video to reach 900 million views on YouTube, breaking the previous record of 144 days set by PSY’s “Gangnam Style” in 2012.
“APT.” also became the 5th fastest music video to reach this milestone in the world, behind Adele’s “Hello,” Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You,” Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito,” and J Balvin and Willy William’s “Mi Gente.”
The song “APT.” also broke records on the US’s Official Singles Chart.
Last week, “APT.” debuted at No. 2 on the chart. Not only does “APT” hold the record for the highest ranking by a female K-pop artist, it is also the first K-pop song to stay in the Top 5 for 12 weeks and the first song to stay in the Top 2 of the chart for 4 weeks.
