Kpop girl group TWICE has just returned with their 4th studio album "This is For", marking 10 years of operation. To promote the album, TWICE has interviews with the media and participated in many different entertainment programs.
Recently, TWICE's interview with Forbes magazine became a topic of discussion, especially when a member of the group mentioned BTS - the most famous boy group in Kpop, of the same generation as TWICE.
Forbes mentioned "GOAT" - short for "Greatest of All Time" - a song in the album performed by Mina, Dahyun and Chaeyoung. The group burst out laughing when asked who they believed was GOAT in the industry.
Jeongyeon looked at the members with sweet eyes and shouted, "TWICE! My GOAT is TWICE! I love TWICE! ".
Meanwhile, Tzuyu praised BTS for their role in bringing K-pop to the world. She shared: "There are many artists who have tried their best to make Kpop the center of attention. Many artists have contributed to the development of K-pop, and BTS plays an important role in it.
Tzuyu's views excited the BTS fan community, as they showed his colleagues' recognition of BTS' contributions.
However, this sharing also caused controversy on social networks.
Many opinions say that Tzuyu only mentioned BTS but ignored famous second-generation groups such as Big Bang, SNSD, TVXQ or the third-generation girl group Blackpink is a shortcoming and easily makes fans of other groups dissatisfied.
In contrast, fans defending Tzuyu, saying that she only said BTS was one of the great contributors to Kpop, did not affirm that BTS was the only one.

Meanwhile, Forbes magazine also praised TWICE as a global superstar, representing solidarity, strength and confidence.
Forbes later wrote: Since their debut in 2015, the group has become a formidable force in the music industry. They sold out at the world's biggest sold-out stadiums; reached No. 1 on Billboard's Billboard 200 chart, Top Album Sales and World Albums; were the first Korean group to receive Billboard's Women's Music award; were the first Kpop girl group to perform at Lollapalooza this August; and broke countless streaming records."
In the interview, Jeongyeon admitted that This is For was the most difficult album to record for her because it had to show many different genres and styles.
Nayeon shared: Before starting a new tour, we wanted to experiment with new things and new musical styles with this album. We have recorded many different small groups and groups that we have never seen before.
According to Forbes, regarding TWICE's upcoming world tour, fans can expect a different stage.
TWICE will perform on a 360-degree stage, allowing fans to see them from all angles. They admit that it will be very difficult to prepare choreography and song arrangement, but they are ready for this challenge.
Jihyo shared that, due to changes in the way the song is arranged, there will be many different versions of old songs.
Nayeon added: We could have chosen the easier and safer path we have done before, but we think it is time to do something new. We wanted to challenge ourselves, and that's why we chose to do a 360-degree stage."
