According to Sportsworld, on August 20, fans of the girl group NewJeans (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) reported to HYBE about an anonymous account with terrorist moves targeting NewJeans.
Anonymous account A has continuously posted posts with the content "I will **** NewJeans" on an online community.
Even though the posts have been deleted, traces remain on platforms like Google.
This account also indirectly pointed out the location of NewJeans' dormitory during a live broadcast, increasing concerns about the members' safety. After specifying NewJeans' accommodation, A said: "Next time I will find out and come back."
NewJeans fans captured the posts in PDF format and sent them to HYBE - NewJeans' representative agency.
HYBE responded to Sportsworld: "After confirming the information, we reported to the police and are trying our best to protect the artist."
This is not the first time a terrorist attack plan has been announced against NewJeans. That's why stronger measures are needed.
Previously in June, a terrorist post appeared on social networks targeting NewJeans, causing an uproar. An image of a Japanese-style knife was posted with the title: "I will bring it to the NewJeans concert." Although the image was confirmed to be an online advertisement, NewJeans fans were still very worried and reported the incident to the police.
According to Sportsworld, anonymous terrorist warning messages not only target NewJeans but also other celebrities such as Jang Won Young (IVE), Winter (aespa) and IU, causing confusion in the Kpop fan community.
