A close acquaintance of the family revealed to the media: "The only wish of the family is for Kim Soo Hyun to admit all the truth and offer sincere apologies to the deceased.
This person continued to be upset: "However, Kim Soo Hyun and his team of lawyers accused the family of spreading false information with fabricated evidence, causing unbearable pain for them.
This acquaintance also described the long-standing difficulties of the late actor: "Two years ago, when Kim Soo Hyun denied dating, Kim Sae Ron seemed to be denied of her own existence. In the process of handling the costs of the incident, she continued to shed tears because of Kim Soo Hyun's company's behavior.
Even if they apologize hundreds of thousands of times, it is not enough, yet they turn to push their families into criminals, it is unacceptable.
The source also said that Kim Sae Ron's relatives have had extreme behavior many times.

Kim Sae Ron was found dead at his home in Seongdong district, Seoul, South Korea on February 16th last year. Coincidentally, this was Kim Soo Hyun's 37th birthday.
In March 2025, the family publicly announced through YouTube channel Garosero that Kim Sae Ron had a 5-year relationship with Kim Soo Hyun, starting in 2016, when she was only 15 years old.
