Sharing with Lao Dong reporter, Phuong Ngoc said that her decision to join the army at the age of 23 surprised her family and friends. Parents were worried because they were afraid that Phuong Ngoc could not adapt, but after that, they were both proud and supportive when their daughter performed her sacred duty to the Fatherland.
Talking about the opportunity to register for military service, the young player expressed: "For a long time, I have had a passion for the blue color of the army jersey. Besides me, there are many friends who are soldiers, so my determination to join the army is getting stronger. After graduating from college, I also worked in an office job, but as soon as I heard the announcement of recruiting female citizens to perform military service, I registered to join in the hope that I would be recruited. And finally, my dream of becoming a soldier came true.
Discipline is the strength of the army, in this environment I learn many things from my commanders and teammates. The solidarity and unity in the army makes me more caring and helping people. After joining the army, I became more brave, mature and tough after the training process."
Bui Thi Phuong Ngoc recounted that she was used to a free life outside, with weak physical condition, and was used to being an MC or an office worker, but she became strong, ready to overcome difficulties after becoming a soldier.
" Participating in the parade and parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and National Reunification is an extremely sacred and proud task not only for me but also for my whole family. Although the training process encountered many difficulties because it is female, there will be times when health is not guaranteed, or due to the harsh hot weather that can cause us to experience heatstroke.
But above all, my teammates and I are determined to overcome all difficulties and challenges to continue training towards the common task.
This is also a challenge not only for me but also for my friends in the group," Phuong Ngoc said about the training process for the parade.
Bui Thi Phuong Ngoc was born in 2001 in Dong Nai, currently working at the Dong Nai Provincial Military Command.
In February 2024, Phuong Ngoc volunteered to join the army, as one of 4 female recruits registered in Dong Nai.
She was registered for the Miss Vietnam 2022 contest and entered the top 15 of Miss Ocean Vietnam 2023. The beauty is 1.7m tall, has a harmonious face, and is well educated.
In real life, Phuong Ngoc pursues a dynamic, youthful fashion style. In addition to her time in the unit, she still works as an MC.
When competing in beauty contests, Phuong Ngoc once made an impression thanks to her outstanding education.
She won the second prize for the best student in Literature at the provincial level and the second prize in the Ao Dai Charming Contest at the city level. In grade 12, she enrolled in the Communist Party of Vietnam at Xuan Loc High School (Dong Nai).
In addition, Phuong Ngoc has been a host and reader for activities and programs while studying at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law.
