To transform into the character Quang, Steven Nguyen had to go through a harsh training journey.
He lost 5kg in a short time, from 75kg to 70kg, following a strict diet, only about 300g of starch per day, the rest was mainly meat to keep his muscles.
At the same time, he practiced at high intensity, sometimes so tired that he was dizzy.

In addition to physical education, Steven also participated in military training, practiced combat skills at the Cu Chi shooting range and practiced real-life moves for the character Quang to appear vivid and realistic.
Despite playing the role of a soldier "on the other side of the front line", Steven Nguyen still attracted the attention of the audience thanks to his handsome face, toned body and many scenes showing off his broken body.
However, playing Quang was not easy. The actor confessed that he was quite confused at first and didn't even like this character.
I have long dreamed of acting in war films, of course in the role of a soldier defending the Fatherland. When I knew I had to play a villain role, I was disappointed and wondered why I wasn't the real one," he shared.
When asked about the family's reaction to Quang's role, Steven Nguyen shared: "Parents often want their children to play soldiers to be proud of. When they learned that I was playing a villain, my parents were a bit shocked.
In addition, collaborating with the Northern crew for the first time put him under great pressure. In the early days on set, Steven was so tense that he could not keep up. But once he got used to it, he gradually exploited the depth of the character's psychology, bringing a more versatile character Quang.
Steven Nguyen's real name is Huy Nguyen, born in 1991, graduated from the acting major at Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Cinema. Before the audience knew his name, he had struggled for nearly 10 years to find a place.
He received a big boost when he played the main role in the online film Bi Long Dai Ca, then continued to make his mark with the role of Phuc Luan in the film Stolen Happiness.
He also participated in many other works such as "My girlfriend is the market leader", "The Steel punch", "Without a Murderer", "Hung Long Van Ba"...
Currently, the film "Red Rain" is leading the Vietnamese box office with a revenue of more than 132 billion VND as of 10:00 a.m. on August 26, according to data from Box Office Vietnam. Although it is a work on the theme of war, the film is still selling in theaters.
