Local police said the woman called 911 to report the incident. She said the rapist occurred when Nelly's tour bus parked at a shopping mall in Auburn, about 32km south of Seattle.
Nelly, known for her hit songs "Ride Wit Me", "Hot in Herre", Dilemma"..., previously performed at Auburn, a venue on the rapper's tour schedule.
The police have conducted an investigation according to the report of the unnamed woman. Nelly was arrested before dawn and had paid a bond on bail pending his trial. The police did not disclose much about the incident.
Nelly's lawyer confirmed that the rapper was a victim of a fake accusation. He believes the police will soon clarify this. Nelly also said on social media that she was shocked to know that she was being accused of this. He believes that when everything is investigated clearly, it will prove that he is just a victim.
