According to Allkpop, rumors of NewJeans girl group members visiting V (BTS) during his military service have been circulating since last year.
The visit was recently confirmed when a netizen shared a photo signed and handwritten by Haerin to one of V's comrades in the army.
Haerin wrote: "Hello, we are NewJeans. Be healthy and happy during your time in the army, and take care of our second brother, Taehyung (V's real name).
Previously, V was said to have a close relationship with former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin and the NewJeans group. When NewJeans first debuted, V and some BTS members collaborated with NewJeans in dance challenge videos on Tiktok.
In 2023, when NewJeans filmed the MV "Cool With You" in Spain, an audience member shared that she saw V and NewJeans eating at a restaurant for 3 consecutive days.
After that, Min Hee Jin took on the role of producer for V's first solo album - "Layover".
Last year, "NewJeans' biological mother" revealed that she still kept in touch with V, despite the conflict between her and HYBE Group.
"V sometimes calls me from the army. He is a very smart person and has a bright personality. When things happen to me, he calls and asks: Are you okay?
Even on my birthday, he sent me a congratulatory message early in the morning. His kindness and warmth touched me very much, Min Hee Jin said.
Min Hee Jin was fired by HYBE from the position of CEO of ADOR company (managing the group NewJeans) just a few months after the ADOR audit in April last year.
In November 2024, NewJeans held a unilateral press conference to announce the termination of the contract with ADOR. In response, ADOR filed a lawsuit against NewJeans to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract.
NewJeans is currently on hiatus while the legal battle with ADOR is ongoing. On the other hand, BTS is preparing for a full comeback of the group after all members have completed their military service.
