The American cultural magazine Complex has published a list of 15 outstanding collaborations between Korean artists and international rappers. Jungkook's solo single "Seven", featuring American rapper Latto, took the top spot.
Complex commented, "It's hard to imagine a rap and K-pop collaboration that's more productive like this."
At the same time, the magazine added, "Jungkook humorously expressed his desire to be with his lover every day with his powerful voice, while Latto expressed his energetic and captivating lyrics."
The magazine also pointed out Jungkook's emotional voice, Latto's characteristics, and his contemporary melody as the main factors behind the song's success.
"Seven," Jungkook's debut solo single, entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 1 and remained on the chart for 15 weeks, proving the song's widespread popularity.
The song also achieved great success on other Billboard charts, holding the number one position on the Global Excl. chart. U.S. for 9 consecutive weeks and on the Global 200 for 7 consecutive weeks. The song set a new record as the first song to simultaneously hold the No. 1 spot on both charts for 7 weeks - an achievement that no other Asian artist can match.
Meanwhile, on March 28, Jungkook donated to support victims of forest fires in the areas of Ulsan, Gyeongbuk and Gyeongnam. He has contributed 1 billion won (equivalent to about $681,385) to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association.
