Recently, Korean media reported that actor So Ji Sub will star in the new drama "manager Kim".
Responding to this news, So Ji Sub's 51k management company shared: "It's true that So Ji Sub has received an invitation to participate in the film and is considering a role."
"manager Kim" is an action film adapted from the famous webtoon of the same name, about an ordinary man who, in order to find his daughter Min Ji and suddenly disappear without a trace, reveals his identity as a former agent and risks everything to save her.
Recently, So Ji Sub attracted attention when playing the main role in Netflix's crime action film " Mercy for none".
So Ji Sub plays Nam Ki Joon, a former gangster (black society) who has left the underworld. 11 years after cutting off his gang ties, he returns to discover the truth behind the mysterious death of his younger brother Nam Ki Seok (Lee Joon Hyuk) and seeks revenge.
Khong Duong is causing a fever on Netflix. The film debuted at No. 2 on Netflix's global Best-Selling Non-English TV show chart in its first week of release, reaching 4.9 million views.
By the second week, Chang dung Thu rose to the No. 1 position globally with 7.6 million views. The film is currently ranked No. 1 in 9 countries and has entered the Top 10 of dozens of different countries.

International media and critics also responded positively to the work. Right after its release, Khong dung gi was called John Wick of Korea.
On the famous film review website Rotten Tomatoes, the film is rated 100% on Tomatometer.
The British newspaper Daily Mail described intolerance as a bloody action craze that excites fans. While The Week called it " Netflix's best Korean action horror film to date - containing everything fans passionately crave".
Khong Duong marks So Ji Subs return to the action genre after 13 years. The actor born in 1977 revealed that he lost 15kg to be able to take on the role in the film.
At the age of 47, despite facing difficulties in acting in action films, the actor is still very enthusiastic about his career.
When filming action scenes in my 40s, I felt some physical limitations and realized that my body did not react as quickly as before. But I still think I can handle the action scenes and I like that. I want to continue playing action roles until I am 70 years old, the actor expressed.
He added: "I used to think that after 10 years, I would become an expert and acting would be easy, but even after 30 years, I still felt like I didn't really understand acting. I want to continue to ask questions, learn and move forward.
