Recently, actor Song Joong Ki had an interview with Korean media before the upcoming release of his film "Bogota: City of the Lost".
Not only talking about issues surrounding his new role, Song Joong Ki also shared many things related to his married life and small family.
Last month, Song Joong Ki announced that he and his wife welcomed their second daughter in Rome, Italy. During the interview, the actor shyly shared a photo of his daughter with reporters.
He admitted that being a father of two children made him feel more responsible.
Song Joong Ki publicly announced his relationship with British actress Katy Louise Saunders in late 2022. Katy was born in 1984, 1 year older than Song Joong Ki.
In early 2023, the star of the movie "The Youngest Son of the Tycoon" announced that he had registered his marriage and his wife was pregnant with their first child. In mid-June of the same year, the actor's son was born. And now, Katy - Song Joong Ki couple have a son and a daughter.
When reporters teased Song Joong Ki for seeming to like “showing off” his daughter, he laughed and humorously replied, “To be honest, I really want to show off my daughter. Is that too much?”
Recalling the moment he first held his daughter, Song Joong Ki said: “I’m not sure how different it felt (from my first son), but when I held my daughter, she clung to me in a way that was completely different from my son. I will never forget that feeling. The baby is healthy and growing well, and my wife recovered well after giving birth.”
The actor added that his wife Katy is currently overseas and has not yet seen the movie “Bogota”. But she has been very supportive of him, despite Song Joong Ki’s current tight filming schedule, which has forced him to balance many things.
Also in the interview, Song Joong Ki revealed that he learned Spanish for his role in “Bogota”, and also used it in daily communication with his wife and children later on.
“At home, I speak Spanish with my wife every day. There will come a time when our child speaks better Spanish than me. Whether it is English or Spanish, I don’t want to fall behind, otherwise I won’t be able to communicate with my child. That’s why I’m working hard to learn Spanish,” he explained.
