KoreaBoo newspaper reported that Gyeonggi Provincial Police, South Korea is investigating and prosecuting actor Song Young Kyu without detention, on charges of violating the Road Traffic Law.
According to the authorities, the actor of "Penthouse 3" was arrested at 11pm on June 19 (local time) after the police received a report of a man driving while intoxicated.
Through the extraction of security cameras, traffic police determined that the moving vehicle belonged to Song Young Kyu and proceeded to block the vehicle and arrest it. The test results showed that Song Young Kyu's blood alcohol concentration exceeded 0.08% - the level of driver's license revoked according to Korean law.
After being arrested, Song Young Kyu regretted and apologized to the public. The actress said: "My temporary mistake ruined everything. I drink alcohol because I am not in a good mood and do not drink too much. I said this not to justify my behavior. I violated the law and committed acts that endangered society. I really apologize."
