According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of the Korean drama "Taxi Driver 3" aired on the evening of November 21 achieved an average nationwide rating of 9.5% on SBS.
Not only leading the rating in the same broadcast time frame on all channels, "Taxi Driver 3" also set a premiere record with the highest rating among ministries (short-form TV series/limited episodes) this year.
The first episode of season 3 brought the audience back to meet the beloved "Taxi cau vang" squad of Kim Do Gi (Lee Je Hoon), Jang Sung Chul (Kim Eui Sung), Ahn Go Eun (Pyo Ye Jin), Choi Kyung Ku (Jang Hyuk Jin) and Park Jin Eon (Bae Yoo Ram), when they began a dangerous mission: rescuing high school student Yoon Yi Seo ( Cha Si Yeon) kidnapped by a Japanese criminal organization.
According to Korean media, the harmonious combination of actors Lee Je Hoon, Kim Eui Sung, Pyo Ye Jin, Jang Hyuk Jin and Bae Yoo Ram is still a bright spot.
The global scale, dramatic filming pace and the appearance of famous Japanese actor Kasamatsu Sho as a villain all increased the appeal of the opening episode.

After the broadcast, fans' reactions to the series on social media were very enthusiastic: Tim I want to explode when I listen to the background music of Taxi Driver, An hour but it feels like 10 minutes. Too good, Season 3 is really at a different level, eagerly waiting for the next episode...
Based on a famous Korean online comic, Taxi Driver follows the secret rainbow taxi company, in a journey to achieve justice on behalf of victims abandoned by society.
Taxi Driver is one of SBSs most popular series. Since 2023, the series has ranked 5th in the national rating among all land-based dramas and cable dramas, reaching the highest level of 21%.
The second part of the film also won the Best Drama award at the 28th Asian Television Awards.
Director Kang Bo Seung is confident in the appeal of the work, saying that "Taxi Driver" is a series that is strong enough to last 10 seasons, if given the opportunity.
Director Kang also said that season 3 marks a change from the previous structure of the series, introducing a plot line throughout the season instead of individual cases in each episode.
Each episode still handles a different case, but the clues from the previous episodes will lead to the next episodes. We have made efforts to make the entire film season, when viewed as a whole, become a big story. Therefore, although each episode has its own appeal, the drama will become more and more attractive as viewers gradually follow it, the director added.
When asked if the new season will continue to exploit real-life incidents or not, the director confirmed that it was.
Taxi Driver 3 continues to be inspired by cases that have shocked Korea, including the N-Series Chat room scandal - an online sex crimes ring that has taken advantage of many minors and young women.
