According to data published by Hanteo chart, the second mini album "Greengreen" by group CORTIS (James, Juhoon, Martin, Seonghyeon, Keonho) sold 1,196,961 copies on the first day of release.
This achievement broke the previous record set by the debut mini-album "Color outside the lines" (reaching nearly 250,000 copies sold on the first day), making "Greengreen" the group's best-selling album.
According to Big Hit Music, the album "Greengreen" recorded 2.39 million pre-orders in just about two weeks, raising expectations that the group will have their next "sell 2 million copies" album after their debut product.
Greengreen" is an album of 6 songs, reflecting a more introverted transformation in CORTIS's artistic style. The album includes the title track "Redred" and subtitles that capture distinctive aspects of their identity development.
On the album's release day May 4, CORTIS achieved the highest number of streams on Spotify since its release, with 9.6 million streams. This was also the highest number of streams of a 5th generation Kpop group.
Redred" was released before April 20 and continuously attracted attention on global streaming platforms, maintaining its growth momentum in many charts including Spotify and Apple Music.
The song entered the two global charts Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. US (excluding the US), respectively at number 63 and 31. On Spotify's daily chart, the song climbed to number 36, up 45 places compared to the previous day; at the same time "Redred" reached the highest record number of daily streams on Spotify with more than 2.5 million streams.
In the charts in Korea, CORTIS also recorded the highest achievement in their career when the single "Redred" rose to 4th place on Melon Top 100. "Redred" debuted at 98th place when released at the end of last month and continuously increased in rankings.
On the day the album "Greengreen" was released, CORTIS held a party in Seoul. The event was broadcast live on Weverse and YouTube, allowing fans from more than 200 countries and territories to participate live, demonstrating the group's growing global influence.
After the launch party, CORTIS continued her busy schedule. Starting with the release of the performance film "TNT" on May 5, then appearing on major radio programs including MBC FM4U's "Noon Song of Hope" and KBS Cool FM's "Lee Eun Ji's Gayo Plaza".
They will also start promotional activities on KBS2's music program "Music Bank" on May 8 and perform at the Hongik University festival on May 14.
