On the evening of December 21, episode 10 of Sister Who Makes Wave aired, bringing the first 5 performances in show 4. The rules of show 4 are quite complicated, divided into 2 parts: Team Leader Race and Total Race.
The Team Leader Race section has 2 vocal stages. The first team is Kieu Anh, Thieu Bao Tram and guest Phuong Vy, performing the medley "Heard you're about to get married - Wish for you".
Thieu Bao Tram's performance attracted attention because she continued to sing about... her ex-lover. Sharing about her performance, the female singer confided: "The emotions are sometimes a bit rustic, painful, and overwhelming. Those are true feelings within ourselves. Sometimes we also need to face those feelings."
Thieu Bao Tram's lyrics like "Wishing you much peace and happiness. Sweet love. I'm happy for you" remind the audience of her tumultuous past relationship with Son Tung M-TP.
In the second performance, Thieu Bao Tram attracted attention when she sang "Not yet forgotten the old lover" and won. In this performance, although she also sang about an unfinished and painful past love, she could not win against Toc Tien.
Team Toc Tien, Chau Tuyet Van and guest Giang Hong Ngoc brought to the stage "I wipe my tears with new love". The performance included a rap and drum performance by Chau Tuyet Van.
When the audience voted, the performance "Tears I Wipe With New Love" received 2200 points, winning by a large margin over the mashup "Heard You're Getting Married - Wish for You" with 1300 points in the Team Leader's Race.
To date, Toc Tien is the only singer to have won all the matches as a team captain. She has stood out in the group, shown smart strategies and continuously won.
In the Total Race section, My Linh's team including Lynk Lee, Phuong Vy and Trang Phap (Sister Who Makes Wave season 1) performed the mashup "Garden of Eden - Paradise". Diva My Linh not only showed off her strong voice but also had an impressive "head-to-head" performance.
The team of Toc Tien, Minh Hang, Minh Tuyet, Tuimi, Ngoc Phuoc and Thao Trang brought to the stage "Mong Hoa" with the atmosphere of girls on a sea expedition. The singers transformed into sailors, performed choreography, combined bolero and rap melody, using props such as vertical rope ladders.
"Mong Hoa" was rated impressive, beautiful both visually and audibly. The performance received 3040 votes from the audience, surpassing the standard score of My Linh's team and helping Toc Tien's team complete the challenge.
The final performance of episode 10 is the song "Waiting for the table" by Kieu Anh and her teammates including Pham Quynh Anh, Xuan Nghi, Hoang Yen Chibi, and Ngoc Thanh Tam.
"Waiting for a table" received 2690 votes, not too high, but combined with the points from the Team Leader's Race, Kieu Anh's team still successfully passed the benchmark, preserving all members.
