According to Allkpop, on April 19, a soldier who had just been discharged from the army and worked in the same unit as male singer V (a member of BTS) shared a post expressing his gratitude and admiration for the Kpop star.
This person wrote: "To Mr. Taehyung (real name of V). I haven't had the opportunity to thank you for everything you have done for me during my time in the unit, so I decided to leave a message for you here.
Even with injuries to his shoulders and thighs, he was still ranked first in shooting, first in the winter urban war training course and received a certificate of merit from the exemplary Military Police. His achievements have really inspired me to motivate myself in the training process.
In the final physical test, we cheered each other on for the entire 3km journey so that we could both achieve a good ranking. And finally, when we finish earlier than the standard time, that moment was wonderful and I think it will be a moment I will remember forever.
The days I go to exercise with Sunghyun, rain or shine, we get to practice with the good equipment he gave to the unit. Every time we sweat together in the gym is a special memory for me.
He also bought us a lot of delicious food when we left the unit or went to the military stall. I still cant forget the eel sushi, its really delicious.
This person emphasized that V had become an example for himself to constantly strive and learn from: More than all that, it is his professional ethics and enthusiasm that helped me set the goal of becoming a physical therapist.
Thanks to him, I was able to continue to strive for both training and studying during my military service. Even after my discharge, the passion and enthusiasm that I was nurtured in were still there, motivating me to pursue my goals with all my heart.

V enlisted in December 2023, currently serving in the Special Task Force (SDT) of the Military Police Brigade, under the 2nd Corps Command. In the army, the male singer had an excellent performance with many good achievements and was rewarded.
V received the Outstanding Rookie Award at the Nonsan Military Training Center. He was later awarded the title of Special Forces Soldier and promoted early to the rank of Sergeant.
V is expected to be discharged from the army on June 10 along with RM. While the other two members of BTS, Jimin and Jungkook, will be discharged from the military on June 11.
Suga, who is serving as a social service worker, will complete his service on June 22.
HYBE Group CEO Lee Jae Sang said that after all BTS members were discharged from the military in June, they will need time to prepare before continuing their activities. Currently, the specific comeback schedule of BTS has not been announced.
