On the evening of June 19, MC Thanh Van (Van Hugo) shared about working with lawyers after a series of leaders of HIUP 27 milk company were prosecuted.
On her personal page, Van Hugo wrote: In the past, I have accepted to promote HIUP milk products - with full legal documents provided by the brand. I believe in those documents, believe in the testing process, and believe in the actual feelings when letting my children use them for the past few years.
However, today, after the authorities confirmed that the product showed signs of not meeting the standards from the shipment produced in August 2024, I could not remain silent.
I was administratively punished for HIUP milk advertising causing confusion of uses and then proactively asked the brand to stop using my image, and at the same time suggested that they invite the authorities to conduct a transparent inspection. Most recently, on May 27, 2025, I still received a testing certificate showing that the product was inspected and met standards.
But now I understand: I was scammed. It is not only a loss of honor, but also a feeling of serious abuse of trust.
Van Hugo said he is working with a lawyer to hold the brand responsible. I will pursue this career to the end, not only to protect myself, but also to prevent anyone else from becoming a victim like me, said the female MC.
Van Hugo also apologized to those who once believed in her introduction. I dont flee. I take responsibility. And I choose transparency, Van Hugo wrote.
On June 19, the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security prosecuted a group of leaders of Z Holding Joint Stock Company to investigate the crime of "Violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences and Producing and trading counterfeit food goods".
Initial results determined that "HIUP 27 nutritional product" and many other types did not ensure the ingredients and nutritional content as stated in the product registration.
BTV Quang Minh also confirmed to Lao Dong reporter on the evening of June 19 that he will sue HIUP 27 milk company.
On April 28, 2025, the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information issued 02 Decisions to administratively sanction BTV Quang Minh's violations, which must be paid, namely 37.5 million VND and 70 million VND for MC Van Hugo. The agency also reminds artists and celebrities to be careful when receiving advertising contracts.
