ILLIT's Wonhee sparked controversy when she thanked Bang Si Hyuk - HYBE's President.

Recently, Yoona, Minju, Moka, Wonhee and Iroha of the group ILLIT held an event in Seoul (Korea) to introduce their new album. ILLIT's new album "I'll like you" consists of 5 songs, including the title song "Cherish (My Love)".

While the ILLIT members talked about the creativity in the new album, member Wonhee mentioned the participation of President Bang Si Hyuk. She shared that President HYBE gave them a lot of useful advice, especially in giving suggestions on changing facial expressions according to each dance move of the song.

According to the HYBE member, President Bang's advice greatly influenced the quality of this album. "The president gave us detailed advice on how we should express the song, as well as how to dance and make facial expressions. Thanks to the president, I think we were able to complete this song with more depth," said Wonhee ILLIT.

It is understandable that Bang Si Hyuk participates in the album production of the groups under the group. However, Wonhee's public thanks to HYBE's President at this time has raised many conflicting opinions.

Many people believe that Bang Si Hyuk used the company's music groups, especially the rookies, to protect his image amid the ongoing scandal with Min Hee Jin.

"It seems like Bang Si Hyuk doesn't realize that keeping quiet will actually help him at this point. He used BTS as a shield, and now he's using rookies to build his image, but it seems like it's backfiring", "Even at this point, they're still promoting Bang Si Hyuk?"... are comments expressing disappointment after the statement of the ILLIT group member.
