YG criticized when Blackpink's Rose went viral with "APT."

According to Koreaboo, fans have criticized YG for suppressing Blackpink's Rose's songwriting and singing abilities while she was an artist under the company.

Recently, on the show "Z100", when asked: "How did you think about the things you wanted to do on stage", Rose Blackpink shared that she never had 12 songs of her own and only had 2 songs that were previously released when she was an artist under YG Entertainment.

"Honestly, I've never had 12 songs of my own before, only two. I think I've done something I've never done before. A few weeks ago, I had an acoustic session, I sang all the acoustic songs and I was like obsessed. It made me so excited and so ready to perform right away. At the moment, I feel like it's the right thing to do," Rose shared.

Rose's comments have caused many fans to express their anger towards YG Entertainment. Many believe that the company has held back and not allowed Rose to shine as a solo artist, and now, fans are happy that Rose can freely express her talent. And that has been proven through the MV "APT." in collaboration with Bruno Mars. The song with a cheerful, easy-to-listen melody has "stormed" charts around the world.

Also on the show "Z100", the Blackpink member expressed her gratitude to her fans and explained why the fandom is called "Number Ones". "I am extremely grateful to everyone who has supported, believed in, and been excited about what I do. I am so grateful, they are the best.

I'm really happy to use the name "Number Ones" - it's more than perfect, because they are always my number one priority. Every day when I go into the studio, I always think about them a lot. I always want to show more of my love."
