The Hanoi Department of Education and Training is expected to announce the entrance exam scores for 10th grade high school in the 2026-2027 school year from June 19 to 22.

The 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year takes place from May 30 to June 1 with more than 124,000 candidates participating. Candidates take three subjects including Literature, Mathematics and Foreign Language to apply for admission to non-specialized public high schools.
Ms. Huong Giang - Literature teacher at Archimedes Secondary School and Tuyensinh247 education system said that this year's exam still maintains a familiar structure with two parts: reading comprehension (4 points) and writing (6 points) with a total of 7 questions.
The exam is manageable, not too difficult, suitable for students to get an average score if they firmly grasp the basic knowledge. However, the differentiation mainly lies in the writing part because it requires reasoning, expressing and depth of thought.
Ms. Huong Giang predicts that the score distribution will be concentrated in the range of 5 - 7 points; good and excellent students may achieve 7.5 - 8 points, while excellent papers may reach the threshold of 8.5 - 9.5 points.
Regarding Mathematics, Mr. Do Van Bao - Math teacher at PTLC Vinschool and Tuyensinh247 education system commented that the overall difficulty of this year's exam is equivalent to or lower than last year.
The expected score distribution will mainly focus on about 7-8 points, while the number of exam papers achieving absolute scores is not large due to the thinking requirements in the geometry part and the problem of optimizing reality" - teacher Bao assessed.
As for the English exam, Ms. Mai Linh, an English teacher at Marie Curie Long Bien High School, said that this year's exam closely follows the topic in the 9th grade English program.
Ms. Mai Linh predicts that average students can get 5-6 points if they firmly grasp basic knowledge; good students can get 7-8 points. Good students need to be careful in the reading comprehension and complete paragraphs to get 9-10 points.
