Training in health sectors according to the school-institute model
Hong Bang International University Hospital (abbreviated as: HIU Hospital) has just been licensed by the Ministry of Health to operate medical examination and treatment according to Decision No. 372/BYT-GPHN.
The hospital is built on the basis of inheriting Van Phuc Hospital.
Hong Bang International University Hospital, formerly Van Phuc Hospital, is a clinical practice and training facility for students in the health sector of Hong Bang International University (HIU) according to the school-institute model.

According to the school, having a hospital in the system helps strengthen the connection between training activities and professional practice. Students of healthcare majors have more conditions to access a real medical examination and treatment environment, participate in clinical practice under the guidance of lecturers and medical staff.
Prof. Dr. BSCKII Pham Van Linh currently concurrently holds two roles: HIU Rector and Director of Hong Bang International University Hospital shared that having a separate hospital in the system, students are trained in standard medical style and understand responsibility to patients from the early years.
This is the core foundation to train medical staff with good expertise and solid medical ethics" - Prof. Dr. BSCKII Pham Van Linh said.
To prepare for professional operation, HIU has organized professional consultation seminars with a team of leading experts and doctors from major hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City, Central and Southwest regions.

Many practical contents have been contributed to open up many in-depth perspectives for the development of a university hospital, such as: how to connect schools - hospitals - lecturers - doctors and students; specialized development mechanisms; continuous training activities, scientific research and professional cooperation...
Expanding internship opportunities for students
With a total floor area of about 40,000 m2 and a scale of 350 beds, the hospital is invested synchronously according to the general medicine model. In addition to medical examination and treatment activities, the hospital is also oriented as a place to serve scientific research and training for lecturers and students of the school.
Students not only observe how a medical facility operates but are also directly trained in professional discipline, patient safety culture and interdisciplinary coordination spirit. In particular, the actual clinical environment at the hospital helps HIU healthcare students soon access professional procedures, practice skills and professional ethics right from when they are still in school.
In particular, students can continue their postgraduate studies right in the unified training - treatment - research ecosystem, while opening up clear job opportunities when the hospital prioritizes recruiting trained and adapted to the system alumni.
