On the afternoon of March 2nd, in Thanh Oai commune, Hanoi City, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Oai commune coordinated with relevant agencies and units to organize a meeting with voters and candidates for the 16th National Assembly, term 2026–2031 (Electoral Unit No. 7).
The conference was organized in a direct combined online form from the central bridge point of Thanh Oai commune to the bridge points in Thanh Liet ward and communes: Thanh Tri, Dai Thanh, Vinh Quynh, Ngoc Hoi, Binh Minh, Tam Hung, Dan Hoa, Thuong Phuc, Thuong Tin, Truong Duong, Hong Van belonging to Election Unit No. 7 of Hanoi City.
Speaking before voters, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Minh Son - Acting Minister of Education and Training said that with more than 25 years of working in the field of teaching, research and education management, he has the opportunity to directly witness and participate in the important changes of the country's education and training system.
According to him, education is not only the field of state management but also the strategic foundation of the future, the most sustainable path for each citizen, each family and the entire nation to rise up.
Attached to Hanoi Capital for many years - the political, economic, cultural, and educational center of the country - Acting Minister Hoang Minh Son expressed concern about the increasingly high development requirements in the context of rapid urbanization, deep integration and the explosion of science and technology, especially artificial intelligence.
He emphasized that the requirement for policies on education, training, science and human resource development is to be consistent with the vision and go into the practical life of the people.
If trusted by voters to be elected as a National Assembly Deputy of the 16th term, Acting Minister Hoang Minh Son is committed to fully performing the responsibilities and powers of National Assembly deputies; constantly improving legislative capacity, supervision and policy criticism; maintaining close and regular contact with voters. In addition to voter meetings as prescribed, he said he will expand the forms of specialized contacts with teachers, intellectuals, students, businesses and workers to listen to multi-dimensional and substantive opinions; truthfully reflect the thoughts and legitimate aspirations of voters to the National Assembly and competent agencies.
In the action program, the Acting Minister affirmed that he will actively contribute to perfecting the institution of education, science and technology development and high-quality human resources; promoting modern governance, autonomy associated with accountability; ensuring quality goes hand in hand with equity in access to education. In particular, he emphasized the development of high-quality human resources in key technology and strategic technologies such as artificial intelligence, semiconductor industry, biotechnology, and new energy; and at the same time focus on narrowing the regional gap and taking care of the teaching staff.
After listening to the candidates present the action program, voters in communes and wards highly appreciated the content of the action program as well as the sense of responsibility and commitments of the candidates. At the same time, voters proposed that if the candidates are elected, they will pay attention and propose to competent authorities to solve some difficulties and obstacles in the locality, especially in terms of infrastructure structure, education policies, policies to support people to develop the economy, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, and ensure social security and justice.
Acting Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son and candidates respectfully thanked the heartfelt and responsible opinions of voters in communes and wards, expressing the thoughts and legitimate aspirations of the People, focusing on major and practical issues related to socio-economic development, education, people's lives and social security in the locality.
