On the afternoon of October 22, the National Academy of Public Administration held the opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year.
At the opening ceremony, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra hoped that the students of the academy would be worthy of being young people of the Ho Chi Minh generation, always living with ideals and ambitions, excelling in study and training, and constantly striving to establish themselves and their careers.
“You are lucky but also face a lot of pressure. Turn pressure into motivation, contribute to the country, take advantage of technology to reach out to the world and adapt to the changes of the times,” the Minister emphasized.
The Minister also expects the National Academy of Public Administration to make breakthroughs in thinking, management, administration, teaching and learning, creating a foundation for sustainable development.
The four key tasks set out by the Minister for this school year include: The Academy must foster great aspirations and a firm belief in future development. It must deeply understand its responsibilities and missions towards the Party, the State and society. It must pay special attention to building a team of civil servants and employees with the capacity to meet the requirements of the new era. Finally, it is to preserve and promote good cultural values, creating the Academy's own identity.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien - Party Secretary, President of the National Academy of Public Administration also expressed his joy at the proud results of the past school year, and affirmed his determination to excellently complete the tasks of the new school year according to the key points set by the Minister.
He also advised the students: "Do not just study to achieve your goals, but also study to become the best version of yourself. In today's changing world, the constant that needs to be maintained is the desire for knowledge and personality. Study to understand, to work, to love, to live responsibly and always have the desire to reach great things.
“University is different from previous levels of education. The journey of knowledge has no room for procrastination or laziness. Becoming an Academy student is just the beginning and future success only comes when you have tried your best today,” said Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien.
On this occasion, the National Academy of Public Administration announced the results of support for people affected by Typhoon Yagi and officially launched the Fund to support students in especially difficult circumstances.
At the same time, the Academy also honored 5 top students and awarded 18 outstanding students, recognizing their outstanding efforts in studying and training.
