On October 14, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province said that they had received a report from Nong Cong 2 High School about a group of female students from the school getting into a fight, causing a female 11th grade student to be seriously injured.

"The Department has directed the school to coordinate with relevant authorities to urgently verify, clarify and handle the above incident" - said a representative of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province.

According to Nong Cong 2 High School, after the incident, the school's Board of Directors coordinated with Tan Phuc Commune Police to summon students involved in the incident to take statements.

The school summoned the Board of Directors, teachers in charge of each class and parents (authorized persons of the families) of students involved in classes 10A5, 10A6, 12A2, 12A3 to inform them about the incident and propose measures to coordinate with the police to resolve the incident; Requesting families whose children beat their friends to visit the injured female student being treated at Viet Duc Hospital to apologize, share, encourage and support the family in timely care and treatment.

The school also requested the police of Tan Phuc, Trung Chinh and Te Thang communes (Nong Cong district) to continue investigating and resolving the incident. In addition, the school will convene a Disciplinary Council to consider disciplining the students as soon as possible, in order to deter students.
