Resolutely implement the solidification of classrooms and housing for teachers
Over the years, the education sector and the Yen Bai provincial government have always given top priority to consolidating schools and classrooms in particularly difficult areas of the province.
Ms. Tran Thu Hang, Principal of Dai Dong Kindergarten, Yen Binh District, Yen Bai said: In 2019, PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group invested 3.5 billion VND to build 6 solid classrooms for the school, with a scale of 3 floors, floor area of 932m².
In December 2020, the project was completed and put into use, meeting the standards of teaching and caring for preschool children.
“Previously, all activities from studying, eating, and resting of the children were in a small, narrow room. We had a lot of trouble arranging and moving furniture, making it difficult to teach and learn. But now, the children have their own classroom, dining room, and bedroom. All equipment is arranged in a fixed manner, creating a comfortable space for the children. This is a huge change that we really appreciate, so that we can work with peace of mind and contribute to the education sector,” shared Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet, a teacher at Dai Dong Kindergarten.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Van Chan District, Yen Bai, shared that in the period from 2020 to 2024, 76 socialized projects were built, with 298 billion VND invested in the education sector. Of which, 22 projects from socialized sources were invested by businesses and sponsors with a total cost of 14 billion 750 million VND. From June 2024 to now, Van Chan District has inaugurated 5 satellite schools, most of which are preschool classrooms invested in and built by sponsors.
According to a report from Yen Bai province, by 2023, the province will have 6,871 classrooms for preschool, primary, secondary and high schools, of which 6,026 will be solid classrooms, reaching a solidity rate of 87.7%. The number of public rooms for teachers will be 173 with a solidity rate of 100%.
