On July 26, information from Vinh My Commune People's Committee, Ca Mau province said that the locality has developed a plan to arrange public preschool and general education institutions according to the policy of the Central Government and the province, reducing from 12 units to 5 units, equivalent to a reduction of nearly 60%.
The plan was agreed upon by the Standing Committee of Vinh My Commune Party Committee after reviewing the scale of schools, staff, teachers and facilities, in order to streamline focal points, improve management efficiency and quality of education.
Accordingly, at the preschool level, Mang Non Kindergarten, Son Ca 3 and Hoa Mi will merge into Mang Non Kindergarten, and at the same time maintain two facilities at the old school sites.

At the primary level, three schools Vinh Binh A, Vinh Binh B and Vinh Binh C merged into Vinh My Primary School; Minh Dieu A and Minh Dieu B Primary Schools merged into Minh Dieu Primary School; Yen Khanh Primary School and Vinh My B1 Primary School merged into Yen Khanh Primary School.
For secondary school level, Minh Dieu Secondary School is expected to merge into Tran Van Lam Secondary and High School; Vinh My B Secondary School will be renamed Vinh My Secondary School.
According to the plan, after arrangement, the school system managed by Vinh My Commune People's Committee will be reduced from 12 to 5 units, contributing to the effective use of staff, facilities and budget but still ensuring the learning rights of students.
At the same time, Dong Hai commune also completed the school network arrangement plan. Currently, the locality has 7 public schools including 2 kindergartens, 3 primary schools and 2 secondary schools with more than 4,000 students, nearly 300 management and office staff.
After arrangement, the whole commune will only have 3 schools, each level of education will have one school, reducing 4 focal points, equivalent to about 57%, higher than the target of reducing at least 30% of public non-business units according to the Central Government's orientation.
The simultaneous implementation of school arrangement by many localities is considered a specific step to concretize the policy of streamlining the apparatus after arranging administrative units, while also aiming to improve the efficiency of management and use of resources in the education sector.
