Hung Yen - Following the direction of the Department of Education and Training, schools have tightened the boarding meal program, ensuring safety and nutrition for students.

Recently, boarding work in schools has received special attention from public opinion and parents in Hung Yen. After the provincial Department of Education and Training issued a document directing strengthening management, primary and secondary schools in the area quickly tightened the meal preparation and organization process, to ensure food hygiene and safety and nutrition for students.

At Quang Trung Primary and Secondary School (Pho Hien Ward, Hung Yen City), the observation in the boarding kitchen shows meticulousness in each stage. Right from the kitchen door, you can feel the seriousness of the school in organizing boarding.

The processing space is spacious, airy, the floor is clean and dry. Imported food of clear origin, accompanied by inspection documents, is carefully checked before being put into processing.

In particular, the catering team strictly follows hygiene regulations: neat uniforms, wearing gloves, masks throughout the preparation process and dividing meals for students. Every stage is regularly monitored, with food samples stored to ensure absolute safety.

According to Ms. Tran Thi Hong Lien - Vice Principal of Quang Trung Primary and Secondary School, there are currently 230 boarding students at the school. The school applies a reasonable fee: blocks 3, 4, 5 is 26,000 VND/meal, blocks 1 and 2 are 24,000 VND/meal.

The menu is built weekly, with consultations with health workers and teachers, to ensure nutritional balance between groups of substances.

"We strictly control the input step, all food is inspected. The kitchen is cleaned every day, the processing process is continuously monitored. The school also publicizes the menu for parents to monitor and supervise" - Ms. Lien said.

Ms. Pham Thi Hai Yen, a parent whose child is studying at school, expressed her peace of mind when sending her child to boarding school: "The school publicly announces a clear menu, the meals are guaranteed to be of good quality. I see that the caterers prepare very carefully and cleanly. The children not only get delicious food but also have time to rest to study better in the afternoon. Our family is very confident.

Not only Quang Trung Primary and Secondary School, many schools in the province have also made adjustments after the document of the Department of Education and Training. The kitchens are carefully reviewed, equipment and menus are supplemented and made transparent to parents. Some schools also organize parents' representatives to supervise the import and processing to create consensus.

Tightening meals for boarding is not only about food safety, but also focuses on educational factors. Many schools combine organizing for students to eat scientifically, practice hygiene maintenance habits, and share during mealtime.
