The People's Committee of Hung Yen province has just issued a 2025-2026 school year schedule for preschool, general education and continuing education.
According to the plan, the common school completion date for all levels is August 29, 2025, with students in grades 1, 9 and 12 leaving school earlier on August 22. The opening ceremony will be held on September 5, 2025.
semester I starts from September 5 and ends before January 18, 2026. semester II takes place from January 19 to before May 31, 2026, ensuring 35 weeks of actual study (18 weeks for semester I, 17 weeks for semester II).
The provincial-level excellent student exam for grades 9 and 12 will be held before December 31, 2025. The high school graduation exam is conducted according to the schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training, expected on June 11 and 12, 2026.
The recognition of the completion of the primary school program and the consideration of high school graduation must be completed before June 30: Admission to the first grades of the 2026-2027 school year must be completed before July 31, 2026.
Teachers' holidays, Tet and leave are implemented according to regulations. In case of natural disasters, epidemics or special situations, the Department of Education and Training is responsible for advising the Provincial People's Committee to adjust the plan to ensure compliance with regulations.
