School health staff expect early stabilization after merger
According to Official Dispatch 777/TTg-TCCV dated July 10, 2026 of the Prime Minister, when merging schools, localities must develop plans to arrange management staff, teachers and staff, ensuring the operation of schools after reorganization.
The official dispatch requests to review and arrange sufficient teachers and staff according to the payroll. In case of surplus, the locality must develop a plan to arrange and transfer to a suitable position or resolve benefits according to regulations, based on the capacity and aspirations of employees and job requirements.
The document does not stipulate cutting or terminating job positions for school health workers. Continuing to work or transfer will be considered according to the actual needs of each locality and the school model after the merger.
Implementing the policy of arranging and merging schools to streamline the apparatus and improve operational efficiency, many localities are implementing reviews and rearranging the team of officials, teachers and staff in educational institutions. In this process, the force of school health workers is also affected when job positions, scope of responsibility and professional tasks are adjusted.
Records show that school health workers support the State's policy, and at the same time hope that the arrangement process will be implemented synchronously, transparently and soon stabilize so as not to affect professional work.
Sharing with reporters, Ms. Nguyen Thi Giang, medical staff of Dang Xa Secondary School (Thuan An commune, Hanoi) said that she agrees with the policy of arranging and merging schools to streamline the apparatus and improve operational efficiency.
I understand this is a general policy to improve the operational efficiency of units. What I and many colleagues want is for the personnel arrangement and task assignment plans to be completed soon so that everyone can feel secure in their work and continue to perform well in taking care of students' health" - Ms. Giang shared.
