Regarding the candidates, students must complete the secondary school program in Ho Chi Minh City and be within the prescribed age.

Candidates are divided into 2 groups: who have studied the integrated program in secondary school and have not studied this program.

For students who have studied the integrated program, in addition to participating in the 10th grade entrance exam, they are considered for admission based on exam scores and the average score of the integrated program.

This group can register a maximum of 2 aspirations for integrated English specialized classes at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted and Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, 3 aspirations for schools with integrated classes and 3 aspirations for regular grade 10.

For students who have not studied the integrated program, the condition is to have good academic performance and conduct or higher. In addition to 3 compulsory exam subjects (Literature, Math, Foreign Language), candidates must take an additional integrated English exam for admission consideration.

The integrated 10th grade entrance exam takes place on the same schedule as the regular 10th grade exam. In which, candidates will take the Literature, Math, Foreign Language and integrated English exams (150 minutes).

The admission score is calculated by the total score of 3 exam subjects plus the average score of the 9th grade integrated program (for students who have studied) or the score of the integrated English exam (for students who have not studied).

Admission is carried out in order of priority aspirations, from highest to lowest and by school group: specialized, integrated, then grade 10 regular. Candidates who are admitted to which aspiration must study that aspiration and cannot change it.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training noted that if an integrated class has less than 25 students enrolled, classes will not be opened. At that time, students will be considered for transfer to other schools with remaining quotas or transfer to the regular 10th grade system.

Candidates register for admission completely online on the city's admission system and need to monitor information regularly to comply with regulations. The review of exam papers is carried out within 3 days after the scores are announced.
