Information from the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City said that, implementing the direction of the City People's Committee leaders on reviewing and making a list of children and students transferred from Hau Giang and Soc Trang provinces to Can Tho City following their father and mother to work after the merger and consolidation of the province, while creating favorable conditions for students to go to school in the 2025 - 2026 school year, the Department of Education and Training of the City has directed educational institutions in the area to receive and guide the transfer procedures for 42 preschool children, 108 primary school students, 221 secondary school students and 123 high school students following their parents to work in Can Tho City.
At the same time, the city's education sector has been urgently completing key contents to prepare for the new school year. Review and approve the payroll of affiliated units, develop a plan for the mobilization and transfer of managers, teachers and recruitment of teachers to ensure the sufficient number of assigned civil servants.
Organize the review, inspection and repair of school facilities to serve the opening of the new school year. Publicly and inform the list of textbooks selected for use so that parents can proactively equip students.
The education sector coordinates with localities to review the number of school-age children in the area, as a basis for mobilizing students to attend classes at the beginning of the 2025 - 2026 school year. At the same time, a list of students with special circumstances and families in difficult circumstances will be made to have appropriate support measures, so that no student will have to drop out of school due to economic conditions.
