On the morning of October 5, informing reporters, a representative of the Department of Education and Training of Cao Bang province - said that in the coming days, the process of storm No. 11 making landfall, the education sector will closely follow and implement according to Official Dispatch No. 25 of the People's Committee of Cao Bang province.

The above telegram shows that the education sector is allowed to let students stay home from school when the weather is dangerous. Based on this direction, the Department of Education and Training of Cao Bang province has directed schools in the area to take appropriate response measures.

According to preliminary statistics, the total damage caused by the recent storm No. 10 of the Cao Bang Provincial Education sector is estimated at more than 15.484 billion VND.

The whole province has 14 schools seriously affected, concentrated in Thuc Phan ward and the communes of Bao Lac, Can Yen, Bao Lam, Quang Uyen... 2,539m of fence, 128 classrooms, 127m2 of corrugated iron roof, 8 school gates, more than 400m of embankment and embankment were collapsed; 32 computers, 4 projectors, 233 teaching equipment and many other equipment were severely damaged.

After many days of overcoming the consequences of storm No. 10, by October 5, schools in Cao Bang province had basically completed the cleaning, repair and preparation of conditions to welcome students back to school from October 6.

At Bao Lac Secondary School, where the flood was nearly 2 meters deep, teachers, parents, police, soldiers, and youth union members cleaned up mud, disinfected, rearranged tables and chairs, and prepared classrooms.

The school also plans to organize catch-up classes in the afternoon and on weekends to ensure the program is not delayed.

In Thuc Phan ward, 1/6 Kindergarten - the school that suffered the most damage - mobilized more than 100 people to clean, clean up equipment, and rearrange tables and chairs. Although many equipment are still damaged, the school is determined to open the doors to welcome children as planned.

An urgent problem arising after the flood is the lack of books and school supplies. To overcome this, the Department of Education and Training has directed schools to quickly compile statistics and at the same time, call for support from publishers, social organizations, and unions.

Many parents and benefactors have proactively donated books, pens, and school bags to disadvantaged students.

The important documents were issued right at the time of the flood, focusing on the task of ensuring absolute safety for the lives of students and teachers. Up to now, the school systems have been basically ready to welcome students back on October 6.

Nong Thi Lan, a 7th grade student at Bao Lac Secondary School, Bao Lac commune, shared: "The floodwaters came in quickly, and my notebooks were soaked in my desk. I thought I could not go to school anymore. But with the support of teachers, I have almost enough books to continue studying.
