On March 25, information from Nghe An Provincial People's Committee said that it had just issued a decision approving the enrollment plan for grade 10 high school, grade 10 Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, grade 10 ethnic minority boarding high school and grade 6 ethnic minority boarding high school for the 2025-2026 school year.
This year's 10th grade entrance exam will take place over two days (June 3 and 4, 2025), with three subjects: Math, Literature and Foreign Language (English or French).
Math and Literature: Writing exam with each subject's test time of 120 minutes; Foreign Language: Object multiple-choice test consists of 40 questions, test time of 60 minutes, candidates will take the test on the multiple-choice answer form, the results will be graded by computer software.

Candidates taking the exam are students with permanent residence and studying in Nghe An province. In case students move from another locality, they must be approved by the Department of Education and Training.
In addition, candidates must be students who have graduated from junior high school under a general education or continuing education program, and have the age according to the regulations of the Charter of junior high schools, high schools and schools with multiple levels of education.
Apply the entrance exam method to schools with the number of students registering for wish 1 exceeding the enrollment target for the 2025-2026 school year.
For schools under the Project "Piloting the construction of advanced kindergartens and high schools according to the trend of international integration in Nghe An province, period 2021-2030", enrollment is based on the admission method for advanced classes and entrance exams for the remaining classes.
The scores for the Math and Literature exam are scored on a scale of 10, rounding up to 0.25 points; Foreign Language consists of 40 questions, each question has 0.25 points.
Additional points are implemented according to Circular No. 30/2024 dated December 30, 2024 of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The admission score is the total score of the three exams plus priority and incentive points (if any). Candidates who are admitted are not allowed to have 0 points in any exam.
The Provincial People's Committee requires the exam content to be included in the general education program at the secondary level issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, mainly in grade 9. The exam ensures accuracy, clarity, differentiation of students' abilities and suitability with the prescribed time.
After the exam results are available, the admission process and the announcement of the first admission results will take place within 20 days. The admission results are completed when the admission quota is met or by the opening date of the new school year, whichever comes first.
The entrance exam for grade 10 of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted will be held on June 6, 2025.
This year, the school enrolls 13 specialized classes in the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography, English, Japanese, Chinese, French, Russian, Korean.
Mathematical specialists will be admitted to two classes: Mathematics 1 and Mathematics 2.
