On October 22, the People's Committee of Binh Thanh Dong commune (An Giang province) reported on the incident in which students at Binh Thanh Dong Secondary School fought, causing injuries.
According to the report, the incident occurred at 8:00 a.m. on October 18, student L.T.G.B (born in 2012, residing in Binh Thanh Dong commune) of class 8 at Binh Thanh Dong Secondary School went to the artificial soccer field in Binh Trung 2 hamlet to play soccer.
At the soccer field, there was N.M.T (born in 2011, residing in Binh Thanh Dong commune) studying in grade 9 at Binh Thanh Dong Secondary School. B played until about 10am and then stopped.
Due to a previous conflict, after playing football, the two made an appointment to go to the vacant land in Binh Dong 2 Hamlet to fight. Among them were some of T's friends.
When arriving at the meeting place, T and B fought with empty hands, but P.V.T. (born in 2011, residing in Binh Thanh Dong commune) a 9th grade student at Binh Thanh Dong Secondary School, grabbed a three- strokes stick and hit B, causing injuries to his head and face.
Seeing B injured, N.M.T and P.V.T ran away while B was taken to the Health Station by local people to suture the wound. The family then took him to Chau Doc Regional General Hospital for treatment.
Because the incident involved students, Binh Thanh Dong Commune Police have notified the Board of Directors of Binh Thanh Dong Secondary School to coordinate in clarifying the incident. Currently, the case is being consolidated by Binh Thanh Dong Commune Police to handle according to the law.
On the school's side, the Board of Directors of Binh Thanh Dong Secondary School, together with homeroom teachers of the classes, had students involved in meeting the families of students who participated in the fight to find out the cause and visit the health of the student who was beaten and caused injuries.
On the morning of October 22, the school continued to invite parents and students to fight to understand the incident. The parents of the students involved directly met to discuss, apologize, compensate the families of the parents of the students who were beaten and committed to better education for them.
Previously, social networks were stirred by a clip that was said to be a group of students from a school in An Giang meeting to go to a deserted area to cheer for the two male students to fight with their bare hands.
While the two male students were fighting, another male student holding a weapon (unknown object) attacked one of the two men from behind, injuring him and sending him to the hospital for treatment.
