Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Vietnam Education Publishing House (NXBGDVN) said that, seriously implementing the directions of the Ministry of Education and Training on ensuring full textbooks (SGK) to serve the new school year, it has actively and synchronously implemented printing and coordination solutions to ensure that no students lack books when entering the 2026 - 2027 school year.
As of August 15, 2026, NXBGDVN has fully and exceeded the ordering needs of schools and localities. Specifically, more than 220 million copies of textbooks and 76 million copies of exercise books (SBT), reference books (STK) have been completed and supplied to the market to serve the needs of students.
NXBGDVN is currently continuing to deploy additional printing of about 9 million copies of textbooks. This source of books is used to ensure the security and safety of textbooks, be ready to respond to natural disasters, storms and floods, as well as meet arising needs for book equipment for libraries or local book donation programs.
Recently, due to the psychology of waiting for the free textbook policy, some schools and students have not registered or pre-ordered with local School Book and Equipment Companies. This has led to the fact that in the days leading up to the new school year, a large number of parents and students are flocking to buy books at retail stores. Due to the sudden increase in demand in a short time, there has been a shortage of book titles, not enough for a complete set.
As soon as registration is received, Bookstore - Educational Equipment stores under the NXBGDVN system and local School Book - Equipment Companies will prepare and fully supply textbooks and SBT for all subjects and levels of education" - NXBGDVN affirmed.
