Announcing a scholarship fund worth 150 billion VND for students

Students with difficult family circumstances but with the will to excel and achieve excellent results will have the opportunity to receive a 100% tuition scholarship from a British University.

On October 10, British University Vietnam (BUV) announced 7 new training programs and a scholarship fund worth 150 billion VND in 2025, aiming to provide opportunities to study in an international training environment for outstanding young people across the country, regardless of family and social background.

The scholarship fund includes many categories with 100% tuition support such as: Founder Scholarship, Lion Heart Scholarship, UK Ambassador Scholarship, Principal Scholarship, Training Director Scholarship, Industry Scholarship and Talent Scholarship... Application deadline is March 5, 2025.

Notably, the Lionheart Scholarship is especially for students with physical or health disadvantages, or those from difficult family circumstances, who know how to nurture a strong will, a brave heart, overcome personal barriers, strive to achieve excellent results and inspire those around them. In addition, the British Ambassador Scholarship is for students with academic achievements, experience in participating in community service activities and the potential to become excellent future leaders.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Marcus Winsley - Deputy Ambassador of the UK to Vietnam - affirmed: “BUV is an important bridge, contributing to promoting the close cooperation between Vietnam and the UK in the field of education, one of the three key areas of cooperation between the two countries. The launch of new majors and the largest scholarship fund ever by BUV opens up many opportunities to access the UK's advanced and long-standing education system for Vietnamese students, regardless of social circumstances.

Through this, students not only have the opportunity to access the academic and educational advantages of the two countries, but also train themselves to become useful people for society, contributing to the common development of the two countries and the world."

Also at the event, BUV announced 7 new training programs, including 6 bachelor's programs and 1 master's program.

These programs are all awarded directly from prestigious university partners in the UK, including:

Data Science and Business Analytics, Management and Digital Innovation is awarded by the University of London (UoL) and academically directed by the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE).

Film and Media Production is awarded by Arts University Bournemouth (AUB).

Software Engineering awarded by the University of Stirling.

Tourism Management, Event Management awarded by Bournemouth University (BU).

1 Master's programme is the Master of Business, jointly awarded by BUV and Staffordshire University, with 5 majors: International Management, Digital Marketing, Tourism and Hospitality, Creative Industries, Financial Technology and Data Analytics.

The new training programs will inherit and promote BUV's existing advantages in academic training: QS 5-star facilities, curriculum and teaching quality certified by QAA comprehensive accreditation. At the same time, 100% of the teaching staff at BUV meet international accreditation standards and have a lot of practical experience, helping students apply knowledge effectively.

Students will also receive support from BUV in its partner network of more than 400 large businesses and employers.

At the event, Prof. Dr. Raymond Gordon - President of British University Vietnam - emphasized: "Continuously developing quality training programs has always been one of the core tasks of BUV, aiming to promote the development of education with the motto "For the future of Vietnam".

He hopes that each student, when leaving BUV, will not only be good at academics, but also have a pioneering spirit and a brave heart to face all challenges and leave a lasting mark in a volatile world.

BUV is the first university in Vietnam to receive a 5-star rating from Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), and the first university in Vietnam and ASEAN to receive global quality accreditation from QAA, the UK's Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education.
