Workers struggle to find a place to send their children
Faced with the worry of lacking kindergartens, schools and playgrounds in industrial parks, many workers in Da Nang hope that the city will soon have more educational and cultural facilities to feel secure in working and stabilizing their lives.

At the meeting and dialogue between the National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee and trade union members and workers in 2026, Mr. Le Ban Thien, a worker at Rieker Vietnam Company, said that his company currently has more than 13,000 workers, of which female workers account for over 90%, most of whom are of childbearing age.
According to Mr. Thien, finding a place to send children is a constant concern for many workers because the area around industrial parks is still lacking kindergartens, schools and playgrounds for children.
Currently, many brothers and sisters have to send their children to spontaneous places, which is both costly and always in a state of anxiety because they are not at ease," Mr. Thien shared.
From the above reality, representatives of workers proposed that the city soon have a plan to build more kindergartens and cultural activity areas in industrial parks so that workers have a safe place to send their children, with reasonable costs, thereby being assured to stick with businesses and the city for a long time.
Estimated spending of 41 billion VND to support preschool education
Answering workers' opinions, Mr. Nguyen Minh Huy - Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Education and Training, former Quang Nam province and former Da Nang city currently have 4 resolutions related to policies to support the development of preschool education, especially at private facilities in industrial parks.
Implementing the city's direction, the Department is developing a resolution to consolidate these policies for synchronous implementation throughout the area. It is expected that in May, the resolution will be submitted to the City People's Council for approval.
According to Mr. Huy, the whole city currently has about 12,316 children of workers who are eligible for support.
The new policy is expected to include 3 main support groups. Specifically, children of workers will be supported with 200,000 VND/child/month, the support period will not exceed 9 months according to the actual study time.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Huy said that the Department of Justice and the Department of Finance have agreed on a support fund level for the 2026-2027 school year of about 41 billion VND and the dossier has now been completed to the 5th step in the process of drafting the resolution.

At the dialogue, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee, said that the city is also very interested in and shares the difficulties of workers' families working in shifts, often working overtime and returning late to find suitable places to take care of children.
To meet the childcare needs of workers, from 2018, Da Nang has approved the policy of investing in building pilot kindergartens to receive children from 6 to 18 months old. By the end of the 2025-2026 school year, the whole city has 31 public kindergartens receiving children under 18 months old.
In addition, the city also issued many policies to support preschool education in industrial park areas, including funding support for independent, private, and semi-public preschool facilities; and at the same time implementing a resolution to support preschool children and teachers at facilities related to industrial parks," Mr. Hung said.
