On September 18, the Traffic Police Department - Lao Cai Provincial Police informed that right at the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year, the traffic police force has strengthened patrols and inspections on roads and school areas, focusing on handling violations that directly lead to accidents.
The Road Traffic Police Team No. 5 alone discovered 51 cases of students violating traffic order and safety in a short time (from September 9th to 16th).
The main violations include driving vehicles when not old enough, speeding, not wearing helmets and some other violations.
Cases are allowed to stop vehicles, make records and handle according to regulations; at the same time, traffic police officers propagate and remind about skills and awareness of law compliance.

According to the Traffic Police Department - Lao Cai Provincial Police, the situation of students who are not old enough and do not meet the conditions but still drive vehicles to school is one of the risks leading to traffic accidents.
Speeding and not wearing a helmet further increase the risk of injury in the event of a collision.
In recent days, Road Traffic Police Teams No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 have also simultaneously organized propaganda and dissemination of laws on traffic order and safety at many schools, attracting 7,244 turns of students, officials, teachers, staff and parents to participate.

In addition to propaganda about traffic order and safety, the program also integrates contents on drug prevention and control, school violence, network security and the harmful effects of e-cigarettes.
Not only conveying legal knowledge, the programs are organized in an intuitive, lively direction, combining images, Q&A and handling real-life situations.
Through this, students are guided on how to identify unsafe risks, choose appropriate behaviors and form the habit of complying with the law when participating in traffic.
