In the afternoon of September 16, the Vietnamese women's team had a training session at Iwata Sport Exchange Village Yumeria Ball Stadium in rainy weather conditions, with a temperature of about 22-23 degrees Celsius. Faced with this situation, the coaching staff adjusted the lesson plan and shortened the training time.
The focus of the training session is tactical content, aiming to complete the operating plan of the playing style against the Japanese women's team. Players maintain a positive training spirit, proactively support and exchange with each other in each exercise.

Besides the time on the field, the Vietnamese women's team also studies opponents through video viewing sessions. The coaching staff analyzes the playing style of the Japanese women's team, and at the same time helps players prepare plans to handle situations that may occur in the match.
Recovery work is also focused on by the Vietnamese women's team during the competition at ASIAD 2026. The allocation of training, rest and recovery time is adjusted to suit the schedule, in order to maintain fitness and concentration for the players.
According to the schedule, the Vietnamese women's team will face the Japanese women's team at 5:30 PM on September 17 (Vietnam time) at Shizuoka ECOPA Stadium. This is the second match of Group E of ASIAD 2026 women's football.
