In 2025, Gia Dinh University announced that it will open 6 new training majors, including: Dentistry, Nursing, Rehabilitation Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Psychology, Chinese Language.
The school plans to enroll students according to 3 admission methods, including:
Method 1: Admission results of the 2025 high school graduation exam. The level of assurance of entrance quality will be announced when there are high school graduation exam scores in 2025 and according to the schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET).
Method 2: Admission from high school transcripts. Candidates choose one of three options:
Admission results of high school transcripts according to a combination of 3 subjects for the entire 12th grade year. Candidates can apply when they have an average score of three subjects in the group (average score for the whole year of grade 12 subject 1 + Average score for the whole year of grade 12 subject 2 + Average score for the whole year of grade 12 subject 3) of 17 points or more.
Method 3: Admission results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam. Candidates taking the exam and having the results of the competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2025 achieve 600 points or more for all majors at the university level.
For the health sector group, GDU conducts admission according to the following three methods:
Method 1: Admission results of the 2025 high school graduation exam. The level of quality assurance for the health sector is regulated by the Ministry of Education and Training: The school will announce when there are high school graduation exam scores in 2025 (according to the schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training).
Method 2: Admission from high school transcripts. Candidates admitted to the Nursing and Rehabilitation Engineering major will have an average score for the entire 12th grade of the 3 subjects in the admission combination of 19 points and the academic performance of grades 10, 11, and 12 is classified as good; or the high school graduation score is 6.5 or higher.
For the Dentistry, candidates need to have an admission score of 22.5 points and academic performance in grades 10, 11, and 12 classified as good; or a high school graduation score of 8.0 or higher.
Method 3: Admission results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam. Candidates can be admitted to the Nursing and Rehabilitation Technology major when the results of the competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2025 are 550 points and their academic performance is quite good for 3 consecutive years (class 10, 11, 12).
For the Dentistry, candidates must achieve 600 points and have good academic performance for 3 consecutive years (10, 11, 12).
Gia Dinh University added that in addition to traditional admission combinations, this year, the school plans to consider new combinations such as: Math - IT - English, Math - Literature - IT, Math - Literature - Literature - History, Math - Literature - Economic and Legal Education.
